BUS:STOP Krumbach – Kressbad bus stop

Sami Rintala, Dagur Eggertsson and Vibeke Jenssen straddle the borders of architecture, design and art in their work. Their structures respond to the location and are densely packed with meaning. They duly chose the tennis court as the site of their BUS:STOP, as this was the only place where their creation could also play a social role: not only is it a bus stop in the conventional sense, it is also a small, metaphorical and fully functional grandstand. This scaled-back, traditional timber construction features a shingled design and is a thrilling combination of the necessary and the possible.
