Golmerbahn cable car

This monocable gondola lift ferries passengers from Vandans up to Golm mountain in Montafon. It visits four stations, completing the journey in three stages.

The high-tech facilities required to operate this transit system boast a remarkable lightness. Both the individual stations and the gondolas feature all-round glazing, which ensures great transparency and preserves the beauty of the landscape. The strict colour concept chosen by Karlheinz Ströhle for each of the station buildings denotes the course of the cable car from the valley to the summit and marks the terrain with clearly identifiable milestones.
