Hoher Ifen

The summit of the High Ifen is 2229 m high and offers fantastic panoramic views of the Allgäu Alps, the Great Widderstein, the Gottesacker Plateau and parts of the Swiss Alps. The summit lies at 2229 m at the highest point of the Ifenplateau, hence the name Hoher Ifen. Around the summit, the plateau breaks off steeply, giving the mountain its unusual form and fascination.
