A complete refurbishment of the traditional Schwanen country inn some years ago gave the architect and the building owners the chance to newly interpret the hotel and embed it into the architectural language of the village. The design is consciously understated and dominated by soothing surfaces in natural, precious white fir as well as beds and floors in oiled oak.
With the last step in the refurbishment of the Schwanen completed, the hotel now matches its regional gourmet cuisine (inspired by recipes by Hildegard von Bingen) with its structural and energy-efficient design. These days the Moosbrugger family hotel, now managed by son Emanuel, delights guests with its creative regional and organic cuisine (managed by chef Antonia Moosbrugger and her team) and the skilled simplicity of its living ambiance.
