Austria’s first architecture hotel, the Vienna House Martinspark Dorbirn is located in the city centre of Dornbirn, Vorarlberg’s largest city. The hotel is part of a municipal multi-purpose facility. In front of the hotel there is a formal building with clear lines and an exterior of wooden slats that houses conference and meeting rooms, each with their own entrance. One particularly unusual feature is the “floating” hull-like restaurant above the main entrance.
The building’s exceptional form, which purposefully features high-quality material and integrates contemporary art, lends the hotel its clear design style. The hotel is know for its international cuisine complemented by authentic Austrian hospitality.
Awards
The hotel was recognised in the category commercial and industrial construction with the “Vorarlberger Bauherrenpreis in 1998” (Builder-Owner Award)
