    This bike ride through the valley is perfect for beginners and runs mostly on tarmac. At the Freiburger Hütte (cabin) the huge, 1.5 km long south wall of the Roten Wand can be admired. Especially in the morning and evening sun does the wall light up, often blazing red and reflecting in the Formarinsee (lake). Especially noted is the view onto the northern edge of the Roggal Nordkante. It is seen as one of the most beautiful climbing routes of the Alps.

  • Wegbeschreibung

    From the Schlosskopfpark (parking lot) drive through the village in the direction of Zürs. At the Rüfi kopfbahn (train) the road turns right to Zug and continues into the valley. Throughout, one passes the Älpele and finally reaches, after a significant climb in the forest, a crossroads. Continue straight to reach the Formarinsee. Shortly before the lake a large car park is located above the Formarin Alpe and the road turns into a gravel path. In a half circle around the lake the Freiburger Hütte (cabin) is finally reached. The ride back is the same way.
